I build commerce systems that survive the real world.
Shopify, POS, integrations and automation made reliable, understandable and considerably less dramatic.
CURRENTLY ASKING: “OKAY, BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE API TIMES OUT?”
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
What brings you here?
FOR CLIENTS & TEAMS
Good. Messy is where I’m useful.
I turn ambiguous requirements, platform limits and too many APIs into a plan engineers can build and stakeholders can actually follow.
DAILY DECISION / 216

Would you ship it?
One engineering decision. No meetings allowed.
The API Versioning Deadlock
A breaking schema change is required for the checkout API. Half of our legacy partners are still on v1, while the new POS integration demands v2 fields immediately. We must decide how to support this coexistence without bloating our core.
Maintaining two APIs is like dating two people who hate each other; expensive, exhausting, and bound to end in a messy breakup.
AWAITING INPUT
Choose an answer. The consequences will introduce themselves.

Lead Backend Engineer by title. Solutions architect by recurring calendar invite.
I lead backend engineering at Anatta, a Shopify Platinum Partner. Most of my work happens where platform limits, business rules and operational reality collide, which is usually where I’m most useful.
